Today we went for a lovely walk in the sunshine. We walked from Playgroup down to the reservoir behind the village hall and floated boats on the water that we had made out of corks with twigs and leaves for sails. All the children got to make their own boats and have a go at floating them on the water. But don’t worry we didn’t leave them behind or send the children into the water to get them! … We had Liz at hand with her large net to fish them out and leave the countryside as we found it.

We feel so lucky to live here in the heart of the Sussex countryside and be able to take the children out of our door directly into the fields and down to the water. There’s so much nature to see and learn about along the way.
